Catherine R. Nappier

Catherine R. Nappier, 81, of O’Fallon, IL, born January 11, 1942, passed away at home on Wednesday morning, July 19, 2023. She married her husband, Harry, on July 23, 1960 in East St. Louis, IL, and together they had three children.

Catherine was a proud stay at home mother, and she enjoyed working the voter polls annually. She also liked to garden, but above all else, she treasured spending time with her family and looked forward to frequent gatherings and holidays with them. She was an incredibly loving woman who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her birth mother, Mary E. Johnson; adoptive parents, Lloyd V. and Bonnie L. Sharp; beloved husband of 62 years, Harry G. Nappier; daughter, Debra Buhr; granddaughter, Meagan O’Rouke; son-in-law, Bruce Leslie; brother, Robert Johnson; and sisters, Bonnie and Anna Johnson.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Jeffrey (Vicki) Nappier; daughter, Elizabeth Leslie; grandchildren, Christopher Buhr, Sky Nappier, Amber (Shaun) Nappier-Phillips, Rosina Nappier, Jesse Nappier, and Brandi Nappier; great-grandchildren, Jordan Lee, Madison Buhr, and Declan Nappier; great-great-grandchild, Jaxtyn Buhr; brother, James Johnson; dear cousin, Drena; and countless friends.

Cremation rites have been accorded under the direction of Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL. Inurnment at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL, to take place at a later date.
