Arthur was a U.S. Army veteran and a deacon at First Baptist Church in Fairview Heights, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norval and Emma, nee Towry, Jacks.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Rosemary, nee Pedigo, Jacks; daughters, Rhonda (Robbie) Olmsted of Troy, Ill., and Brenda (Eddie) Brown of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Lauren Brundage and Kathryn Brundage; brothers, Marian Jacks, Towry (Dee) Jacks, Charles (Nina Jo) Jacks and Marvin Jacks; sister, Edna Ruth Todd; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesdsay, Nov. 24, 2010, at the church with the Rev. Larry Bragg officiating. Interment following at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill.
