Susan Jane Perron

Susan J. (Medeiros) Perron, age 74, of Fairhaven, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022 in Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Michael L. Perron.

She was born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joffre Medeiros and Mary Alice (Grady) Medeiros-Sullivan. Susan was employed for several years as a Stitcher for Calvin Clothing in New Bedford before raising her own children and becoming a Foster Parent for many years. In her later years, she worked as one on one home care for the elderly.

Susan showed her love in her cooking, especially her chocolate chip cookies, sense of humor, and memorable laugh. She enjoyed antiquing, trips to various casinos, the ocean, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She frequently traveled and enjoyed long visits to Hawaii.

Susan was the mother of the late Michael L. Perron Jr. She is survived by her daughter Melissa A. Sovik and her husband Karl of Fairhaven; five grandchildren Spencer J. Sovik and girlfriend Janae Bettencourt of Fairhaven, Myles J. Sovik and wife Alyssa Sovik of Dartmouth; Kelsey-Korin O. Sovik and wife Mia DePaolis of Watertown, Nicole E. Mattson and Michaela J. Mattson; several great grandchildren; many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and foster children.
