Mark Morley Stewart

Mark Morley Stewart, age 59, of Reston died Monday, August 22, 2022 at Reston Hospital Center. He was born June 10, 1963 in Newport, Rhode Island. He married Wanda (Lipp) Stewart on June 28, 2003. Mark was a devoted husband and father. He was a special education teacher and an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fly fishing. Mark was a compassionate and kind soul who would do anything for anybody. He wanted to make a difference in the world and inspired those who entered his path. He is survived by his two daughters, Anna Grace Stewart, and Audrey Stewart of Reston; two siblings, Bryan Stewart of Fairfax, and Sheila Stewart of Columbia, MD. He was preceded in death by his mother, Philomena (Spillane) Stewart; and his father, George W. Stewart. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Herndon. Father Matt Russick will officiate. Celebration of life will be on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Demaine Funeral Home, Fairfax.
