Gregory or “Bob” as he was called by all his children, friends, and family was born in the capital city of Baghdad in Iraq by his father Yousif Jazrawi and his mother Miriam Jazrawi on May 3, 1945. His family would then move from Iraq to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, then to London, England before settling in Northern Virginia. Throughout his life, Gregory gained so many incredible friends in the D.C. metropolitan area and around the entire world. He worked as a salesman for various international companies and organizations. An exceptionally well-traveled individual, full of wit, charm and eloquence, he was able to make contacts and establish contracts with other businessmen and women from London to Bangkok. His passions included traveling around the world multiple times over, viewing and playing sports such as soccer, tennis, and even sailing on boats. He even achieved one of his dream accomplishments, designing a home in his vision on the Potomac River. In his retirement, he continued to travel around the world, spend time with friends and family while listening to his favorite smooth jazz music.
Gregory is preceded in death by his sons Carlos and Yousif Petrus.
Gregory is survived by his daughters Linda and Katrina, his son Chris, as well as his eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Gregory will be held Friday, December 20, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at St Leo the Great Catholic Church, 3700 Blenheim Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22030. A funeral will occur Friday, December 20, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 3700 Blenheim Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22030. A burial will occur Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA 22042.
