On Monday, December 28, 2020 Deborah “Deb” Flanigan passed away at the age of 73 due to complications from Covid. Born in Ohio in 1947 she was adopted by her parents W. D. “Pat” and Dorothy Flanigan. Deb grew up and spent most of her life in North Syracuse, NY.
Deb graduated from Robert Morris Junior College and earned her associates degree. She first worked at Chase Manhattan Bank. She also worked for The Chamber of Commerce and The American Lung Association.
Deb’s true passion was helping others. She served as a volunteer EMT for the North Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps (NAVAC) for several years, which she really enjoyed. She often talked about her escapades with her “Thursday Night Crew”. She truly loved all the people she worked with.
Deb leaves behind a daughter, Kimberly, a son-in-law, Ivan and her two grandchildren, Sam and Sky. She loved being a mom and grandmother. She moved to the Palm Beach Gardens, FL to be closer to the family.
She will be missed by her friends and family. She was a funny woman with a generous spirit and a heart of gold.
There will be a celebration of her life ceremony held in the summer. Should friends desire, contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association in her name.
