Carol Kay Scott, 80, died peacefully on January 29, 2021 in Fairfax, Virginia. She was born on February 20, 1940 in Nebraska to Jake and Azel Kerbs.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Shannon Scott of Fairfax, Virginia. Carol is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Richard W Scott, Jr.
Carol grew up in the Midwest with her family settling in Wichita, Kansas. Carol was a devoted military wife, mother, daughter and friend. She loved to read, travel and lived overseas for seven years. She also loved an adventure, especially while traveling. She played the bass violin and was a member of the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra in the 1970s. She was a docent at Hillwood Museum in Washington , DC and was a member of the Victorian Society. She was intelligent, kind, loving and had a great sense of humor. She lived a long, wonderful life and she is missed.
A graveside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, June 11 at 9 am.
