Carol Jane Osborne

Carol graduated from Westfield High School, Westfield, IN; graduated from Asbury College, (now Asbury University) Wilmore, Ky with a Bachelor of Science degree; and Master's Degree in Education Counseling from Wright State University, Dayton.

Carol spent her life helping students by teaching in Wilmore, KY for 2 years, in Florida for 2 years, and 35 years in 3rd grade in Fairborn, OH. Carol spent the greater part of her retirement years teaching kindergarten for Little Folks Daycare. Carol was an important part of the children’s educational and personal growth during her many, many years at Little Folks.

Carol enjoyed traveling and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. She enjoyed working word search puzzles, playing bingo, participating in arts & crafts, and attending field trips at Patriot Ridge Retirement Center.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fairborn. She volunteered her time teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Carol also helped the FISH pantry and provided transportation to and from medical appointments to those in her community.

Carol is survived by first cousins on her father's side, Martha Milhouse, Dianna (Bill) Ross, Paul (Jane) Catlin and their families from Indiana. There are also several cousins on her mother's side. Carol will be missed by family and close friends to whom she was fondly known as “TEACH”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, and uncles.

A private memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Matthew Williams from First Baptist Church Fairborn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to First Baptist Church Fairborn, 1167 Highview Dr., Fairborn, Ohio 45324.

Burial will be at a later date at Summit Lawn Cemetery in Westfield, IN where her parents are buried.
