It is with great sadness that the family of Timothy Sires announces his passing after a brief illness on Monday, April 22, 2024, at the age of 66 years. Timothy was a resident of Wilton, California for the past ten years.
Tim, as he was known to his friends and family, had a zest for life and adventure. He spent the last 40ish years working in the information technology sector, specifically within the Health and Human Services arena helping the government deliver services to needy citizens. Tim recently retired as Vice President of Quantum Consulting Services.
Tim deeply cared for people and was always at the ready to help others. He mentored many young people and family members, supported Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for children and served for Big Brothers.
Tim had a true passion for motorsports. If it had an engine and went fast, he was there. He even performed as crew support to a number of open wheel race drivers for over ten years. Tim loved spending time on the open road on his full-dresser Harley. He spent time riding as much as possible in the beautiful California foothills. Tim shared a love of travel with Christine and they made several trips to amazing destinations together, exploring the wonders of the world.
Timothy is survived and will be sorely missed by his loving mother, Doris Sires, his significant other, Christine Dunham, sisters Pam Massucci, Kimberly McElwee, brother Chip Sires, his son, Dustin Sires, and stepsons, Richard Cummings and Justin Holland.
He was a loving grandfather to his granddaughter Britten Sires, and his step grandchildren Samantha Holland, Jaymie Holland, Derick Cummings, Justin Holland Jr. and Jacob Holland.
Tim will be dearly missed by many other family members, whom he loved dearly: sisters and brothers-in law, nieces, nephews and a grand nephews. Tim is also survived by his loving Golden Doodle, Sadie, and his cat Wiley.
A Celebration of Tim’s life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 , 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the home of Christine Dunham and Timothy Sires. Announcement with details will follow.
Memorial donations in Tim’s name may be made to CASA or the SPCA.
