Homer Johnson entered into life on March 28, 1923 in New Mexico and passed away peacefully on June 11, 2012 in Folsom from Congestive Heart Failure. He was 89 years old. He was the son of James and Alba Johnson and a decorated WWII Veteran. Homer became a pilot when he was 22. He enjoyed taking cruises to warm tropical islands. His passion was traveling the country in their motor home. His career encompassed a wide variety of occupations, including farming, sales, heavy equipment operator for Teichert Construction and a construction contractor. He is survived by his wife, Jody Johnson and their children, Brad (Brenda), Lori(Mark) and Lisa. Grandchildren Nick, Leonard, Rachel, Dylan and Great-Grandson, Ben. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 13 from 4-8pm at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Ln., Fair Oaks. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 14 at 11:00am at Sunrise Community Church, 8321 Greenback Ln., Fair Oaks, CA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Sunrise Community Church Building Fund. Homer will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
