Oleg Viktorovich Dopolyuk was born on Friday, February 21st, 1997, in Rivne Oblast, Ukraine. A miracle child and a true blessing to his family, Oleg was the second oldest of six children born to Viktor and Yekaterina Dopolyuk. His siblings names are as follows David, Yana, Inna, Vica and Roman. In 2000, his family moved to the United States, where they settled in the state of Washington, and it was here that Oleg would spend the majority of his life.
Oleg had a deep love for the Pacific Northwest, often exploring its beauty—whether riding his motorcycle with his brother, relaxing at the beach, or simply admiring God's stunning creation. From an early age, he brought joy to everyone around him. Known for his infectious laughter, radiant smile, and his joyful spirit. At just eight years old, he began singing on the radio, and his musical talents were evident throughout his life. He praised the Lord with his voice at church, at his sister’s wedding, on missionary trips, and even during regular car rides. A gifted musician, Oleg played the piano, drums, ukulele, along with his voice, so beautiful and unforgettable.
Though Oleg faced challenges during his youth, he made a remarkable transformation, focusing on his future with determination and faith. He worked alongside his father at Encore Interior Pool Company and found great joy in traveling and exploring the world. Throughout his job and missionary work, Oleg visited countries like Mexico and India, where he made a profound impact spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. In Mexico, he sang in front of a crowd, over 10,000 people who gathered for three days of continuous worship. Oleg also visited orphanages, assembling care packages for more than 2,000 children in need. Throughout his life, Oleg was never afraid to speak up about his faith, sharing the word of God with everyone he met, and always helping his family with love and devotion.
Family was everything to Oleg. He was especially devoted to his loved ones and never missed an opportunity to show them how much he cared. Oleg’s love for children was clear, he would always enjoy playing with his nephews and niece Eli, Noah and Maya. He was yet to meet his niece Emma. Seeing his siblings have families of their own Vadym and Yana, Daniel and Inna, and Vlad and Vica. He prayed and dreamed of one day starting a family of his own. When he met Veronica, he quickly fell in love, and the two were soon engaged and married. Oleg embraced Veronica’s son, Michael, as his own, loving him deeply. He would read to Michael, take him for strolls to the park and play, cook breakfast together and so many other precious memories. They always loved snuggling with one another. Oleg was a natural when it came to being a father figure to Michael.
Oleg’s parents-in-law, Stepan and Rodika Petryuk welcomed Oleg with open arms as their own son. He was such a blessing to the whole family, consisting of George, Beniamin & Mary, Emanuel, Steven, Jacob, Estera, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Joshua. Oleg would always find ways to improve, create, or just help out with any projects around the house.
Together, Oleg and Veronica worked at a retirement home, where Oleg brought joy to the elderly by cooking, playing his music, and sharing the word of God. As a result of Oleg’s preaching, 3 elderly residents made their decision to accept God as their savior. His presence brought everyone close together with many memories of joy, smiles and laughter.
In March of 2024, Oleg made his commitment to God and was baptized. He and Veronica were eagerly
anticipating the arrival of their son, who is due to be born in February 2025. Oleg was overjoyed at the thought of becoming a father, dreaming of teaching his son about God, music, and the joys of life.
Despite his busy schedule, Oleg pursued his goal of becoming a plumber and planned to start his own company. He became a student at the National Technical Institute of Arizona and he enjoyed learning, completing hands-on labs, and sharing what he learned with his wife, family, and friends. He loved watching football, roller blading, snowboarding, playing golf, and watching documentaries. He was full of life, passion, and ambition—this was only the beginning of his journey.
Oleg passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024, at the age of 27. He was called home early, but his legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on, in the hearts of all who knew him.
