Marsha Maxine Hill was born on August 1, 1940, in Seattle, Washington to Myrtle and George Thompson. She was raised by her mother in Ballard and overcame some early life struggles. She went to Ballard High School. Her siblings were George, Myrtle, Gladys, Robert, Rod, and Mona. She married Connor Powell Matthews in May of 1956 and moved to Trenton NJ. There she had a daughter Debbie (born 7/7/58) and a son Curt (born 9/29/60). Her husband Connor became ill in the 1960s and was paralyzed from the waist down. Connor passed away in August of 1972. In September of 1975 she got remarried to Raymond C. Hill and they moved to Mountlake Terrace.
Among many things in her life that Marsha was drawn to, she loved to paint and draw, and do crafts. She was a very good artist.
