Jim!  I saw your beautiful memorial when I was visiting my dad's at Cypress Lawn. It's been 10 years since I was at Providence but I do remember you! I remember how kind you were even though you pretended to be gruff.  You didn't fool me! By God's wonderful design, kind eyes never lie!  Blessings to your family. May the fond memories of you continue through the generations.

Uncle Jim... I don't think you ever stopped smiling or laughing. The jokes, the antics, the craziness...a heart of gold. You always had a cup of coffee in your hand (the one with the navy emblem on it).  I wonder how many pots of coffee you and dad would go through.  There are so many memories I have of you and while these past years our families have drifted apart, I don't think there's one day that goes by where some memory of you and auntie Karen doesn't pop into my head...always bringing a smile or a giggle. Rest in peace, my uncle. Once again, I believe heaven just got a bit noisier.

Thoughts and prayers are with my cousins Michelle, David and Steven. I'm so sorry for your loss.

You will be missed more than you know. Your quick wit and the stories you told will be missed. The fabulous dinners you cooked for many of us over the years. Bowling will not be the same without you, especially on New Years Eve.

It was a great pleasure knowing and working with Jim for the past 36 years. We shared many good times, from cooking hamburgers at the State Fair, ASHE conferences, golf tournaments and being part of the growth of General Hospital into the Healthcare Center it is today. Sorry you didn't get to enjoy retirement for a longer time.

Jim, in the short time that I've know you. You made a lasting impression on me. When I asked you to leave me one piece of advice upon your retirement. You said "Treat those buildings as though they are yours......some people won't like that, but thats O.K."      Thank you for your 30+ years of dedication and service to our department. That paved the way for the rest of us that are behind you. Rest in peace.

jim,i had the honor of sitting next to you the last 5 or so years.you taught me things i never heard of and proved them all true.i will always remember the countless storys you told of your childhood,the navy and camping as with bowling and life in general. the trips to wsshe and ashe were great experiances.we can all rest assured that you and larry and vick will fix anything wrong upstairs.you were the most honest man i have ever known and will be missed. thanks for everything jim.

We have so many memories of years gone by,and I might add all good ones too.
Starting with the first time we all met at the Club 170 which you were the branch member who signed ,Dan up to join the club back in 1971 or 1972 when the club first opened.
And along with that you got Dan to join the Lions club as well and then all the family Christmas Eves we spent with you and your loving wife Karen who we all adored and loved along with your 3 beautiful children , Michelle, David and Steven , who are all now adults and have familys of their own.
We were so close and there was never a dull moment, always lots of partying and eating and laughing going on all the time when we were together, lots of funny storys to tell, just to many to list.
We loved you and Karen and each of your children and your familys with all our hearts and still do as do our children have lots of fond memories too.
Now our thoughts and our prayers all go out to Michelle & Jerry  and David & Tammy and Christina , And Steven & Kelly and Marcia and Tim and Their familys.

I wasn't there when my grandpa died but it's okay because I know that one day I will see him again. Grandpa, as much as I want you here I know someone is taking good care of you up there. I miss you and I love you. Thank you for being the first person to teach me how to make scrambled eggs.

Jim was a long-time cherished member of the Washington State Society for Healthcare Engineering. I enjoyed his company and expertise for many years whether it was in the boiler room or on the golf course. He was always willing to advise and help others. He will be missed.

I will always remember your loving smiles and your quick reply's when we joked around. I've been sincerely bless to share so many wonderful memories with you, fishing and camping at Lake Pearrygin and all those family bowling tournaments throughout the years.  However, I will never forget our Christmas light adventures.  Every year you would attach that silly deer head  to the front of the truck and all us kids would  pile into the backend.  Once you started the Christmas music our adventure would start.  Thank you for all our joyful times together.  You will be missed dearly! My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

To a great partner and friend, you shared with us your passion for our buildings. There is no way to fill the space you have left here. Thank you for your experience, your expertise and your leadership. Bud

Poppi, I will dearly miss your loving scowls and quick smiles. Our family vacations will always hold a special place in my heart.  Thank you for treating me as one of your own. You will be sorely missed and I will never forget you. I love you and miss you very much.

Jim, thank you for giving me the very best of you, your son David. He is so much like you. I will miss watching the two of you together. I love you and miss you more than I can say.

Jim was a wonderful brother. I have some very fond memories of times spent together as kids on the farm. And also some great times when Jim was home on leave from the Navy. Jim could be a very fun loving and comical person. Jim will be missed

To my fabulous uncle Jim, thanks for being such a great character for me to grow up with.  The support over the years and the ability to find the humor in anything were so important and appreciated.  The years at the farm and Hood Canal were so special to share and will always be remembered.  David, Steven and Michele you and your families are in our thoughts and prayers.  I will miss him.  All my love!

Enjoyed the times at the bowling ally, you will be missed. Cathy, you are in my thoughts.

Dad, I will miss you, and remember the laughter, your words of advice and guidance throughout the years.  Time on this earth is never enough with any loved one, but one day we will meet again and walk the fairways of heaven (I'll bring the six pack).  I love you and thank you for everything.

You are one of the Best teachers a man can ever have, you taught from a technical point, but more importantly from a practical point showing views you cannot harvest from a book. The phrase “You build it! We'll fix it!, is so true today. Like you always said if Man built it! Man can fix it!
