Vanessa Ann Williams

She retired after 35 years from Vanderburgh County Auditor's Office. Vanessa loved her husband, son, daughter, family, friends, and babysitting her new great-granddaughter. She enjoyed her birds, ordering stuff off the internet, and spending time with her life-long friend, Lena Sherman. Vanessa loved the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Elvin Adams, Jr.; and sister, Brinda Adams.

Vanessa is survived by her Husband of 23 years, James; son, Floyd Adams (Denise); daughter, Sheena Adams; granddaughters, Schmia Burns and Kamaria Adams; grandsons, Floyd Adams, Jr. and Tavon Burns, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Zamari Adams; brothers, Steve Adams (Diana), Robert Adams (Tonia); and sister, Linda Garrett and a host of neice's and nephew's.

Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Alexander East Chapel with Pastor LeVar St. Germain officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
