Sue Ann Millikan, 89, of Newburgh, formerly of Aledo, IL, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Angel River Healthcare. She was born in St. Joseph, MI, on April 1, 1924, to the late Richard and Elizabeth Banyon.
A graduate of Benton Harbor High School, Sue Ann received her nursing degree at Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She was the nurse at Roosevelt Military Academy in Aledo, IL, where her late husband, Colonel Glen Millikan, was the Superintendent. She was a member of the Aledo Presbyterian Church, was involved with the Mercer County Republican Party, and worked as a Pink Lady at Trinity Medical Center.
Sue Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Colonel Glen Millikan; sister, Jane Clupper; and brother, Pratt Banyon.
She is survived by three sons, John Stanford of Michigan; Glen Millikan II (Jana) of Evansville; and Rick Millikan (Marlene) of San Antonio, TX; and four grandchildren, Maureen Stanford and Brett, Reid and Morgan Millikan.
Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Speer Funeral Home in Aledo, IL, with burial to follow in the Aledo Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Speer Funeral Home.
