Roselyn Joyce Wheeler, 87, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Newburgh Healthcare Center. She was born January 26, 1928, in Patoka, IN to the late Floyd and Caroline (Schurmeier) Wheeler.
She retired from Peoples Savings Bank after 46 years and had worked under five US Presidents. Roselyn enjoyed swimming, quilting, piano, and purse making. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Roselyn is survived by her brother, Leroy (Linda) Busing; niece, Debra Ann (Paul) Wiseman; nephew, Randall Lee (Idee) Busing; great-niece, Laura Wiseman; great-nephew, Greg Wiseman; and cousin and good friend, Janice Weightman.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Dr. Todd A. Gile. Burial will be held Monday in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Ft. Branch, IN. Friends may visit Sunday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation for the wonderful care that Joyce received at Newburgh Healthcare Center, especially to the nurses and staff on the West Unit.
