Robert “Bob” Charles Watson (64) of Evansville, Indiana passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. He was born on December 19, 1958 in Evansville, Indiana where he grew up on the Westside.
He attended Mater Dei and F.J. Reitz High School. He retired as a Sewer Treatment Operator for the City of Evansville. Bob has many interests and hobbies. He could sketch a picture of anything he looked at. He could shoot a fly’s wings off with his modified pellet gun 20 yards from his back porch. He could set-up a home security system with the best of them. With all of his hobbies, Bob only had passion for three things, family, fishing and mowing grass. Bob loved being on a lake with his family. Bob loved to mow grass so much that he would mow for all of his family on the block, twice a week. Most of all, Bob loved his family and friends. Bob would give you the shirt off his back and if he didn’t have a shirt on, he would at least make you laugh with his quick wit and charm.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harry “Red” Watson and brother, Patrick “ZZ” Watson both in 2019.
He is survived by his Mother, Billie Watson; Sister, Dorothy Lindsey; Brother, Alfred Lindsey; Nephew, Dustin (Kennett) Lindsey; Niece, Misty (Jerrod) Hart; great-niece, Mikaila (Payton) Simmons; great-nephew, Hunter (Olivia) Lindsey; great-nieces, Jaiyden and Amelia Hart; great-great niece, Isabel Simmons among other nieces and nephews; and his porch buddy, Jimmy.
The family would like to thank the wonderful care team at Deaconess Midtown Emergency Room and Surgical Trauma Cardiovascular ICU, Unit 4800, for the care and compassion they showed Bob in his final days.
