Owen Marcus Martin

Owen “Teat” Martin, 84, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Pine Haven Health & Rehabilitation and is now reunited with his beloved mother, Grace. He was born July 9, 1928, in Thackeray, Illinois. Teat was an avid sportsman and hunter. He enjoyed bowling and was interested in older cars. He was preceded in death by a brother, George Martin, and sister, Zola Shouley. Teat is survived by his niece, Jane Edna Short (Tony) and nephew, Joseph Shouley. Services will be 12-Noon Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Terry Gamblin. There will be a 3:00 PM graveside committal service at Independent Order of Oddfellows Cemetery in McLeansboro, IL. Friends may visit Wednesday, from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
