AUX SOINS DE
Alexander Funeral Home-East Chapel
Muhammad Sultan Khan, age 21, of Newburgh, IN passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
Muhammad was born in White Plains, NY and moved to Evansville on Jan 1, 2011. He was a junior at the University of Evansville studying Psychology and participated in their Theater program. Muhammad had a passion for music, teaching himself how to play the guitar, bass, piano, and many other instruments. He also enjoyed sharing his passion with his friends and family, purchasing a vintage record player to play his diverse catalog of vinyls. Muhammad was never happier than when he was helping people. He had a way of forming deep connections with everyone he met, no matter where he went. Muhammad loved his two dogs- Arlo and Heidi, and loved taking them on walks whenever he could. Whether it was his religious community at the Islamic Center of Evansville, the theater ensemble at UE, or his classes, Muhammad pierced countless hearts.
Muhammad is preceded in death by his grandparents, Muhammad Sultan Khan and Hussan Taj. He is survived by his parents, Laila and Ahmed Khan; two younger brothers, Hashim and Saif, and countless friends and family.
Funeral prayers will be held at 2:30 pm on Tuesday April 23rd at the Islamic Center on 4200 Grimm Rd, followed by his burial at the Park Lawn Cemetery at 4 pm. Visitation with the family will be held at the Islamic Center from 5:30-7:30 pm on Tuesday April 23rd and 5-7:30 pm on Friday, April 26th.
In honor of Muhammad’s generosity, please consider making a donation in his name to Masiha Free Specialty Clinic, or Masiha Mobile Food Pantry.
