Mary "Connie" Constance Jourdan

She was the oldest of three children. She is survived by sister, Barbara Kelle (Jerry); sister-in-law, Jan Duggins; and preceded in death by brother, Fred Duggins.

Connie attended Armstrong and Tekoppel Grade Schools, Reitz High School and Westside Beauty College. She worked as a beautician at Norma’s of Northbrook Beauty Salon. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the families’ get-togethers, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, working crossword puzzles, playing bingo and singing. Connie was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and IU Basketball fan. She was a member of St. Paul’s UCC and was known for being a prayer warrior. She attended Deaconess Fitness Center with her husband and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Davey Jourdan; parents, Mary (Staser) and Howard Duggins.

Connie is survived by daughter, Lynn Wilson (Mark); son, Greg Jourdan (Debbie); grandchildren, Jill Darke-Schreiber (Mollie), Rusty Jourdan (Stacy), Matt Schreiber (Gina), Kurt Jourdan (Will), Jamie Phillips (Rori); great grandchildren, Hadlie, Henslie, Ralph, Brock, Braxten, Ava, Jacob, Sully, Seth, Morgan, and Austin; great-great grandchildren, Noland and Karter.

Connie's family extends a special thank you to the staff of the Heritage Center for their fine care and support.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St, Evansville, IN, officiated by Pastor Jeff Long followed by burial at Alexander Memorial Park, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, Evansville, IN.

Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and on Thursday July 6, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
