“Jr” as he was affectionately known by those who knew and loved him, graduated from Perris Union High School, Perris California, where he loved and played all sports. Lawrence worked very hard while living in Twentynine Palms, California. He worked for a Desert Recycling Company and a Concrete Construction Firm for many years until he relocated to Evansville, Indiana. While living here in Evansville, Lawrence worked for A&H Trucking, Whirlpool, and a computer call center up and until his illness. Lawrence was a loving and kind person, always with a smile and will to help his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his beloved mother; father; brothers, Donald Wilson and Ronald Wilson; sisters, Ruby Jean Ross-Walker and Somathy “Patty” Ross-Gordwin; and nephews, Booker “Tony” Fellows and Dashawn Armstrong-Trams of Desert Hot Springs, and Perris, California.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Stephanie Ross, of Los Angeles, California; sons Booker Sawaia-Ross and Jason Ross both of Twentynine Palms, California; sister, Betty Fellows (Booker) of Newburgh, Indiana; nephews, Michael “Beaver” Kelly (Diana Tanzey) of Evansville, Indiana, Arnold “Poo” Williams-Giles (Mary) of Palm Springs, California, and Ronnie Wilson of Merced, California; nieces, Liza Harris-Wilson Wunderlee of Twentynine Palms, California, Jeanne Fellows-Dozier of Plano, Texas, Denise Fellows-Gallow of Beaumont, Texas, and Sharon Renee Fellows-McNary of Evansville, Indiana; and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and friends. And a special acknowledgement to Martha Sanders of Los Angeles, California.

There will be no funeral service. Lawrence’s family will be holding a private burial at Alexander Memorial Park.
