Joyce A. Norman

Joyce was a former member of Bethany Baptist Church, Trinity Missionary Baptist Church and currently a member of First Southern Baptist Church. She was an Auxiliary member of Gideon’s International. Joyce was very active in mission organizations and taught adult ladies’ Sunday School class. She worked as a waitress at the Merry Go Round and Todd’s Diner on Main Street. She also worked at Shoppers Fair and Woolco.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jane Gibbs; and granddaughter, Rachel Green.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Marcus Norman; daughters, Debra Norman and Cathy Green; grandchildren, Marcus Green, Matthew Green, Isaac Cage, Sarah Green and Rebekah Cage; sister, Betty Collins; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Pastor David Cullison. Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. The service will be live-streamed at www.Facebook.com/FuneralStreamUSA.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Maple View Cemetery in Marion, Kentucky.
