Jody Lynn Capps

Jody Lynn Capps, 28, of Evansville, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022. She was born on May 11, 1993 in Evansville, to Mike and Jama (Hill) Capps. She was a graduate of Bosse High School where she was a Varsity cheerleader. Jody was one of two girls on the Vann Park boy’s baseball team. She was currently pursuing a career in nursing. Jody was a hardworking, single mother and a manager at Rolling Hills Country Club. Jody was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence and Beulah Hill; and uncle, John Hill. She is survived by her sons, Colin Bridges, Jr. and Kingston Capps; mother, Jama Capps; father, Mike Capps; sister, Tiffany Capps; brother, Joshua Wilson (Monica); grandmother, Linda Boyd; cousins, Joseph Hill (Christina), Kristy (Hill) McDowell (James), and Eddy Hill; uncle, Jack Hill; niece, Celeste Wilson; and nephews, Elias Wilson, Brody Young, and Cory Young; and very special friends, Chelsea Bailey, Irina Perkins and Katie Crockett. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her Rolling Hills Country Club family. Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Alexander East Chapel with Pastor Darrell Rice officiating. Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.
