Janice K. (Wissner) Kissinger, 80, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born June 30, 1937, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Gus and Emma (Winiger) Wissner.
She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved us with all her heart as we loved her.
Janice was a woman of strong faith who loved the Lord. An important part of Jan's life was to study and teach the Bible using Precept Ministries Bible studies which are designed so that anyone can discover for themselves God's truth and then apply it to their life. She taught Sunday school for 25 years and was a devoted Christian. She was President of the Pink Ladies at Deaconess Hospital and a member of the Outboard Boating Club and the Evansville Ski Club. Besides living in Evansville, Janice also lived in Naples, Fl. from 2003-Febuary 2017. She loved her family and grandchildren. Janice was ill for many years and was a cancer survivor.
Janice was preceded in death by her brother, John Wissner.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jack Kissinger; daughters, Diane Gordon (Jeff) of West Chester, PA and Julie Benning (Bill) of West Chester, OH; grandchildren, Amanda Gordon, Jonathon Gordon, Nathan Benning and Trevor Benning; sister, Gail Reiter (Steve) of Cadiz, KY and sister-in-law, Maridawn Wissner Dull.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 8, 2017, at Christian Fellowship Church, officiated by Pastor Dale Beaver, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel and Friday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
