James “Jim” Roger Yeager, 66, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Deaconess Hospital. He was born February 16, 1951, in Evansville, IN to the late George “Lloyd” and Louanna (Pride) Yeager.
He graduated from Purdue with a Bachelor of Science and from USI with a Masters in Business. Jim worked as a licensed Social Worker for over 30 years for Indiana Rehabilitation Services. He attended Grace Baptist Church and was a former member of Kiwanas. Jim was an avid race walker, a world traveler, enjoyed photography and studying multiple languages. He loved his work and helping individuals with special needs.
Jim is survived by his sister, Cathy Yeager; nephew, Tim (Sanae) Marcussen; niece, Courtney (Gawain) Thomas; nephew, Chad (Nicole) Marcussen; six great-nephews; one great-niece; and fiancé, Wilma Bailey.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, August 7, 2017, officiated by Pastor David Terrel, at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel. Friends may visit Monday from 1:00 PM until service time at the cemetery chapel.
