“Jimmy” was a Captain on Engine 3 with the Evansville Fire Department serving 31 years. Prior to his joining the Evansville FD he was a member of the German Township Volunteer Fire Department rising to the rank Captain.
He is one of those firefighters that if you were in trouble on a fire this is the guy who could come and get you out of trouble. Jimmy was always there when someone needed help whether it be a firefighter, friend, group or someone he didn’t know. He would be there with his tool bag to help fix the problem. He is the ultimate “fix it” man. He could look at a problem and figure out how to fix it and fix it.
He made the world a better place with his spontaneous wit, sarcasm and smile. Those who know him could feel his influence on them right away.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday February 25, 2019 at The Bridge Church, 820 W. Mt. Pleasant Rd, Evansville, IN officiated by Brandon Lindsey. Friends may visit Sunday 2-6 p.m. at Alexander West Chapel.
