Nécrologie de Deborah "Debbi" L. Hines
Deborah "Debbi" Lynn Hines, 73, of Evansville, went on to be with her Friend and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Debbi was a courageous and hope-filled champion as she fought the year-long battle of breast cancer. She was born on November 25, 1950 in Evansville, to Monte and Patricia (Seib) Taylor. For the majority of her career, Debbi was a beloved 2nd and 4th grade teacher at Holy Redeemer, and was often described by her former students as their favorite teacher. She loved to laugh and joke and always sought ways to infuse her sense of humor and silliness into everything she did, primarily for the sole purpose of making others laugh and experience joyfulness. Debbi always made others feel noticed and would befriend anyone. She loved laughing and she’d light up any gathering with her loud voice and fun spirit. She enjoyed dancing and music, especially the blues, and wouldn’t hesitate to dance to a funky song in any environment! She was inquisitive and always sought to grow in her personal faith in Jesus Christ by loyally attending her Bible study groups. She was a loving wife and mother and grandmother and was devoted to her family and her fur-baby, Remy. Debbi was preceded in death by her father, Monte, and brother-in-law, Tom Hines. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jim Hines; daughters, Kellie Snyder (Zach) and Carrie Duncan (Caleb); grandchildren, Marshall Snyder, Wade Snyder, Lyle Snyder, and Corinne Hines; mother, Patricia; sisters, Monica Keith and Shelly Boyd (Terry); sisters-in-law, Carol Shelton, Donna Price (Milt), Debbie Hines, Denise Hines, and Mary Beth Knapp (Mike); and nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Alexander North Chapel with Rev. Cliff Herring officiating. Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Susan H. Snyder Center for Women and Children, 1400 Professional Boulevard, Evansville, Indiana 47714. Condolences may be offered at www.AlexanderNorthChapel.com.
