David L. Schneider

David L. Schneider, 76, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Deaconess Midtown. He was born on September 30, 1946, in Evansville, Indiana to the late Dr. Charles P. and Madeline E. (Vandenbark) Schneider. David was a 1964 graduate of F. J. Reitz High School. He served four years in the Air Force and afterwards completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from ISUE. David married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Herrenbruck, in 1968. They shared 54 wonderful years together. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, woodworking, and especially spending time with his family. He was an avid outdoorsman. David was a life-long member of Simpson United Methodist Church, and enjoyed singing in the choir and playing handbells. David is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy; daughter, Beth Osborne (Matt); son, Marc Schneider (Holly); grandchildren, Fletcher and Atley Osborne and Madeline and Wade Schneider; twin sister, Dianne Hayes; and many loved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Kenny Armitage. Friends may visit Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Special thanks to Horizons Home Care and all the home health providers who cared for David the past six years.
