Carol S. Craig, 77, of Evansville, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at her home. She was born on July 6, 1945, in Evansville, Indiana to the late William Floyd and Dorothy (Koring) Queen. Carol graduated from FJ Reitz High School in 1964. She was a graduate of Rogers Hair Academy and served as a hairdresser for over 60 years. She loved boating, bowling, her dogs, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and family. She also loved attending car shows and traveling with her husband Tim, most recently to Hawaii. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Sonny Queen. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Timothy Craig; daughter, Tara Lynn Oakley; grandchildren, Austin W. Taylor, Jordan R. Brown; step-children, Timothy Alan Craig II (Tracy), Jesslyn Bartholome (Michael Jo); four step-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; sisters, Millie Knight, Shirley Burgdorf, and Linda Queen-Alvers (Ron). A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Alexander Funeral Home – West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, with Rev. Terry Gamblin officiating, followed by burial at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends and family may visit Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess Hospice or Forest Hills Baptist Church. Condolences may be offered at www.AlexanderWestChapel.com.
