Barry Wayne Holland, 79, formerly of Evansville, IN, passed away at his home in Shawneetown, IL on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. He was born on January 10, 1945 in Evansville, IN to Lee Roy Holland and Theresa Helen (Milligan) Holland.
Barry graduated from Bosse High School, class of 1963. He retired from the Evansville Fire Department after 20 years. He was first the Chief Mechanic (4 years) and then went into the fire station as a Firefighter (16 years). He liked to build street rods and enjoyed woodworking and antiquing. Barry was a collector of trains, pedal cars and clocks. And, he loved a manicured lawn. He belonged to the Klassic Cruiser and Road Knights Car Clubs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy and Theresa Helen (Milligan) Holland; brothers, Bob and Bill Holland; and sisters, Barbara Davis and Bonita Golden.
Barry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pamela Holland; daughter, Donna Lynn Wirthwein (Lee); son, Nicholas Holland; grandchildren, Kayla Ann Wirthwein, Landon James Holland; brothers, George Thomas Holland and Gary Steven Holland (Janett): and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN officiated by Reverend Dave Teruel. Burial will follow at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit on Monday October 14, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
