Sharon Greathouse

Sharon Greathouse was a lifelong resident of Humboldt County. She attended Loleta Elementary and graduated from Fortuna Union High School. After graduation she started her career in banking at the Bank of Loleta. She worked in banking until her retirement from Humboldt Bank in 2006. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Lee Greathouse; parents Clarence and Ruth Bertsch; twin brother Gordon Bertsch; brothers Del and Robert Charles; stepdaughter and good friend Lonna Garza; brother-in-law Don Bouey; and special friend Jean Schaal. She is survived by her children Sharri (Dave) Gotterbarn, Dan (Shannon) Greathouse, Paula (Mike) Dickson, and Mike (Margie) Greathouse; sisters Deon Bouey and Darlene Kallio; and her brother Don Yarger. Sharon loved her grandchildren Rolland Garza, Joshua, Matthew and Tori Leathers, Siearra and Nikki Harris, Kristine Puryer, Lance and Cristy Collard, Dominic Rea, Crystal and Michael Greathouse; her great grandchildren Faith, Dominic, Icelynn and Aurora. There are also many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, Lee and Renee, Danny B. and Judy, Nancy, Cora, Terry and Sue, Robin, Peggy, Donna, Andy and Darren. She will also be missed by numerous great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many dear friends whom she loved and laughed with. Visitation will be Thursday March 3, 2011 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at Pierce Mortuary in Eureka, CA. Funeral Services will be held Friday March 4, 2011 at 11:30 am at Ocean View Cemetery in Eureka, CA.
