Daddy it's so hard to believe that you are gone but I know that I will see you again. I am so fortunate that God chose you to be my father. You have instilled so much in me and also in my children. Nobody that I know could accomplish what this man did in one lifetime. The fact that I was able to experience and learn from my Grandfather is truely an honor. He was definately a cornerstone and pillar of the family. We will miss him deeply.

What will I do now when I need something built or fixed. Sure the internet gives us plenty of information; but, no "How to videos" can replace the funny jokes and interesting stories about tenders that goes along with Grandpa's help. 
I was so blessed to have Grandpa around while I was growing up. It was so much fun visiting Grandma and Grandpa in Rancho Mirage and Valley Center. I will always cherish the time when Grandpa and I: planted a tree for Michael, worked on his rock fireplace, put the finishing touches on the front porch, made a driveway..... 
Grandpa will be missed so much, but I know that I will see him again one day in Heaven.

I always thought Mr Stone was such a nice person.  I didn't know him really well but I do know Tom.  Mr. Stone had to be a really good father to have a son like Tom!  God Bless you all.  Kris

What can I say about Dad? He may have been a little "rough around the edges" but as I grew into the family, I learned that, that was just Dad being Dad.
Watching the love he put forth to his family was inspiring to me. He may not have know it but, he helped me to become the man I am today. The things he showed and taught me are lessons I will never forget. You will always have a special place in my heart and you will be missed dearly.

It was 1988 and I was living in CA with my parents and one day I went to leave the house and there was this GREAT big snake right there on the front porch and mom and dad were not home so I called grandpa to have him come over and get the snake off of the front porch so I could go to town. He asked what kind of snake it was and I said I didn't care what kind it was just get over here and get it off the porch so I could go to town. He had me open the door and look to see if it had rattles on it's tail and I said no so he told me to get a broom and just sweep it off the porch. My responce was are you crazy I am terrified of snakes, he laughed and said I was on my own and I told him it was real important that I go to town and if he didn't come over I was going to get dads gun and shoot it. Boy the next thing I knew he said he was on his way. Well he got there and just took his foot and kicked the snake off the porch and turned and asked me what was so important that I had to go to town for and I said I am hungry and I wanted a Big Del burrito, the look on his face I thought I was going to get his foot up my behind. He just shook his head and left. I got my burrito but he nevere let me forget that day. We laughted about that day over the years. I love you grandpa and you will forever be in my heart... Tina

I really admired Mr Stone, he was a very caring person to everyone..Him and Mrs Stone had such a love of each other..So sad to lose someone of his integrity and strength.. May all the family feel at peace knowing he will be free of pain and suffering.
