Born on October 19, 1949, Teresita Bautista was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her spouse, Franco G. Bautista; her son Jonathan Bautista; her daughter and son-in-law Beverly and Alby Jimenez; her daughter Meredith Gatchalian; her grandchildren CJ, Dylan, and Parker Gatchalian of San Diego, California; her sister Estela De Claro of New York, her brother and sister-in-law Efren and Merly Malaluan of Canada and her brother and sister-in-law Gilbert and Valerie Malaluan of Canada; as well as the many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren she has from the Philippines, Canada, and United States.
Teresita was preceded in death by her mother Felisa Malaluan, father Isabelo Malaluan, brothers Alex Malaluan and Nestor Malaluan.
Teresita graduated from Manila Central University in nursing in 1970 and devoted 40 years of her life to a career as a registered nurse. Her passion in nursing was not just a profession; it was a calling that defined her. Her legacy lives through the values she instilled in her family and the impact she made on the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation for Teresita will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McLeod Mortuary, 1919 East Valley Pkwy, Escondido, CA 92027. A memorial service to celebrate her life will occur Friday, January 5, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 15546 Pomerado Rd., Poway, CA 92064.
