Juan is survived by his mother Gaudencia Huerta Mendoza of Escondido, California; his brother Ricardo Chamu (Arcelei) of Escondido, California, his sister Faustine Chamu (Alejandro) of Escondido, California, his brother Jose Chamu (Savina) of Escondido, California, his brother Carlos Huertas of Escondido, California, his brother Leonel Chamu of Escondido, California and his brother Rodolfo Chamu of Escondido, California.
Juan was preceded in death by his father Maximino Chamu.
A visitation for Juan will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McLeod Mortuary, 1919 East Valley Pkwy, Escondido, CA 92027. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Mary Catholic Church, 1170 S Broadway, Escondido, CA 92025. A committal service will occur Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM, 1919 East Valley Pkwy, Escondido, CA 92027.
