Paul was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on December 30, 1946, to Armand and Jeanette Boudria, and was the second of four children. Paul graduated from Westport High School in 1966 where he was a star athlete and was later inducted into the Westport Athletic Hall of Fame in 1993. After high school he joined the army and served his country in the Vietnam War.
Paul married his high school sweetheart, Gayle Elizabeth Dayton, in February 1971. They gave birth to their first child, Paul (PT), on November 25, 1971, and then Beth on July 4, 1977.
Paul was an iron worker in the local 37 iron workers union for over 30 years. He retired at the age of 55 with plans of being a snowbird in Florida. Unfortunately, the first few retired years had limited trips to Florida, due to caring for his wife as she battled ALS. After Gayle passed in 2007, he would spend half his time in Westport, Ma. And the other half in Englewood, Fl.
Paul enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren, Katie and Max. He was always looking for things to build or fix and did it all very well. He loved the warm weather and being by the ocean. His hobbies included boating, woodworking, fishing, and working outdoors.
Paul is survived by his children, Paul Tucker Boudria; Beth Miranda and her boyfriend Rick Inacio; his grandchildren, Katelyn and Maxwell Miranda; his longtime loving companion, Kathy Hague; sisters Carolyn Laroche, Joanne St. Martin, and Jeannie Kennedy; many nieces and nephews and longtime friends.
Funeral services to which family and friends are invited will be held on Saturday March 30th 2024, at the Potter Funeral Home in Westport, MA. at 10:00 am.
Calling hours Friday, March 29, 2024, from 5-8 pm.
