Irma Linda Carbone

Irma was born August 17, 1927 to the late Teresa D’Urso and Louis Boffardi Sr. in Brooklyn, New York. She was the youngest of 8 children.

She married Tobias Carbone on November 13 1948 in New York City. They met at CCNY where Irma received a B.S. degree in Education. They moved to Beckley WV where her three daughters were born; later they lived in Indiana, PA where she was a homemaker and raised her family. Tobias preceded her in death on April 17, 1992.

She is survived by her three daughters, Karen Zummo (Peter) of Simsbury, Ct; Kathi McGinnis (Patrick) of Godfrey, Illinois and Kaye Carbone of Smithfield, Va.

Grandchildren: Matthew Zummo, Anne Malone, Lynne Zummo; Brendan McGinnis and Sean McGinnis. Great grandchildren: Kaylee and Luke Zummo; Madison, Ellie, Maeve, Ava and James McGinnis. And her beloved live in caregiver, Sophia Platt.

Irma enjoyed playing golf, ceramics, painting, playing board games, crossword puzzles and card games with her Foxwood lady friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and visiting with her nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Irma will be held Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Venice Memorial Gardens, Center Avenue, Venice, Fl.
