Carolyn Ann Gregory, age 80, of Englewood, FL passed away peacefully at home in the company of her beloved family members. Originally from Enfield, CT Carolyn was always in service to others and wore many hats. Carole was a hairdresser, styling hair both in shops as well as traveling to the homes of those who could not come to her. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister, co-leader of the Youth Generation and co-organizer of Helping Hands for St. Raphael's Catholic Church. However, the most impactful acts of love and caring were felt in her role as the matriarch of her family.
Born to the late Michael and Carmela Leone, she is preceded in death less than 24 hours by her husband John Angelo Gregory and survived by many family members who loved her dearly. Including her children Jean Mlinek, John Gregory, Christa Bigness, Michele Hellyar, Jill Gregory and Mari-Beth Gregory, grandchildren Katlin Swanson, Kara Blanco, Teri-Lyn Horn, Carli Jean Tefft, and Michael Mlinek, and her first precious great granddaughter Hadleigh Swanson. Sister Jacqueline Rittlinger, nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
She will be brought to her final resting place in the rosary garden at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, following the 8:30 am morning mass on Tuesday, March 5th.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Tidewell Hospice in her name, as her peaceful passing was made possible through them.
