My Condolence to the family of Scott Denton. He was a very nice person, and it was an honor to know him.
He was very proud about his sons and did mention about the elder one trip to India last year.

I may not have known Scott as a son, brother, husband or dad. But I can tell you this when we meet Scott & Nikki we were both pregnant at the same time and expecting within weeks of each other. 

We started a baby co-up, four families with two kiddos in each family. Once a month all the children would get dropped off at our home allowing the parents to have date nights... Then the next weekend we would drop off our kids and go out... or sometimes just have a quite evening at home. 

From there an amazing friendship evolved... Scott and I became good friends when I found myself injured and facing the fact that I had to find a different field of work.  I ended up choosing the Techie life, and there was my friend Scott who just stepped up to help a brother out looking for work.  The next couple of years Scott and I worked together.  Now he told me he had nothing more to do with helping me land the job as much as just telling someone about me (but if you knew Scott there was more to it than that).

Scott was a live example of the Scripture verse Galatians 5:22-23
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.   
Scott was kind, gentle, faithful, generous, a really good man that loved the Lord. 
Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

My condolences to the Denton family on the passing of Scott. He was a colleague of mines for many years and it was a privilege getting to know him. He was technically astute and I benefitted immensely from his technical knowledge. I also had the opportunity to speak with Scott late last year and we reminisced about our past times at GE. We were able to talk about his illness and he had a positive outlook that he would overcome it. I am saddened by his passing and I am honored to have been a friend and a colleague.

Scott was the 2nd person I met after joining United Technologies.  We had breakfast at the Broken Egg with Nick Tullio and gawked at Dick Vitale in his usual spot.  Scott was one of the funniest, kindest, and smartest guys I've ever met.  I enjoyed working with him over the last 5 years and have been missing him lately and even more now.  I remember the day Onity locks were hacked and we video conferenced, reviewing my replication of the hack.  "Well look at that" he said.  He was one of the good guys in the world.  My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Scott was truly a humble friend.  He was brilliant but down to earth.  Although he was always the smartest person in the room, he never let on that he was.  He was always engaged in the conversations you were having with him and was truly interested in what you had to say.  If you were smart enough to take it up a level or two, or three or four, he was certainly up for the task of indulging your intellect. Scott was as serious and dedicated as one can be about his work, but he also knew how to have fun and was quite the social butterfly. He was a friend and and a brother in Christ who always made us laugh with his perfect sense of humor.  We will miss the tell he had when he was cooking up something witty to say  that little crooked grin in the corner of his mouth, followed by the big fat smile after he finally spit it out! He was a man of integrity and good character.  We were honored to have been called his friends. He fought the good fight. I'm sure the Lord welcomed him with the words we'd love to hear Well done good and faithful servant. Scott will always have a special place in our hearts and will forever be our delicate flower.

I was sad to hear of Scott's passing.  I knew Scott from high school days in Louisiana.  He was a very fascinating individual and I knew he would go far.  We all got together thru mutual friends and had a lot of fun.  Scott always lived life to the fullest as we all should do.  Sending Prayers to his family in this difficult time.

Scott was always someone that I could count on to provide honest answers. He was always pleasant to talk to and I enjoyed working with him. He will truly be missed.

I met Scott two times and was so fascinated by his unique and lovely character. He was smart, funny, thoughtful and joyful, although there were bad situations. 
I will miss you, Scott. It was a great joy to me to spend time with you.

Scott always brought positive energy and fun whenever he came to a meeting.  I will miss his unique view of the world and really enjoyed working with him.  He was a great person.

Scott was my friend.  He was a wonderful husband, father, mentor, volunteer, a brilliant scientist, and man of god.  But most important to me, he was my friend.  I will always love and miss you.

Although we did not know Scott very long, he always had a great since of humor and a smile on his face. Feel blessed to have had him in our lives.

It was a pleasure to work with Scott and to get to know him. He was always smiling and upbeat. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Scott and I became friends while working together at United Technologies.  We bonded over Sci Fi things, including tv show, TWD.  I know he is missed here at work, but he is also missed by those that had a similar bond with him as I did.

Every time we were with Scott his kindness and thoughtfulness were evident. We enjoyed his intelligence and his love of the Lord.

I'm extremely saddened to hear of Scott's passing.  I worked with Scott at UTC and will remember him fondly.  He was one of the most passionate and intelligent people I have had the pleasure to work and will be missed.

I only met Scott personally one time but have been following his courageous journey since his initial diagnosis.  His strong faith and indomitable courage are an inspiration to all!
