Ronald was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Maxine Browning, and aunt, Eveline Kyle. He is survived by his beloved wife, Donna, sons Robert Browning (wife Laura of Florida), Richard Browning (wife Kathryn of Virginia), Dion Napper (wife Becky of Florida), and Dominic Napper (wife Lisa of Florida), daughters Deeanne Napper Toledo (husband Gary of Arizona) and Debra Napper Walker, brother Randy Browning (wife Kathy of Florida), sister Cathy Browning Kelly (husband Shawn of Florida), niece Kimberly Browning of Florida, aunt Betty Poling of Ohio, uncle Harl Pharis and his children and grandchildren, and uncle Jack Pharis (wife Judy) and their children and grandchildren, all hailing from West Virginia. In addition, Ron is survived by grandchildren Katherine and Liam Finney, William and James Browning, Taylor Napper Manning (husband Josh of Florida), Morgan Napper, Jacob Walker (wife Chae of Florida), Devin Pellum, Darien Walker Palmer (husband Ronnie of Hawaii), Landon and Levi Napper, and great-grandchildren Emersyn Napper and Saint Drake Walker. He is further survived by numerous dear and close friends.
Ron enjoyed several hobbies during his life, including coin collecting, metal detecting, cruising, visiting flea markets, and collecting art and memorabilia from his favorite periods in history. His fondness for history led to Ron founding and leading the Friends of History Group, encouraging meaningful and spirited discussions regarding American History. Ron loved every opportunity to gather with family and friends, sharing funny stories and good meals.
In lieu of a funeral service, Ronald’s son Robert and his wife Laura hosted a private memorial at their home in Riverview, Florida for close friends and relatives. Interment will be at Groover Funeral Home in Ellenton, Florida.
