Kathryn Diane "Dee" Talbott Jensen

She was born February 20, 1929, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late Wilbert Talbott and Mildred (Henry) Loudenslager.

She was a 1947 graduate of Eastern High School in Baltimore, Maryland, and was employed as a legal secretary in Baltimore, MD, Christian Education Director at First Presbyterian Church in Westfield, NY, and worked for the Chautauqua & Erie Telephone Company also in Westfield.

She was married to the late Robert D. Jensen in 1952 at Gregory Memorial Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland. They first made their homes in Oklahoma, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Ohio before settling in Westfield, New York to raise their three children, Terry, Barbara, and Russ, where they remained for 40 years before moving back to the Baltimore, Maryland area to care for her aunts. Dee was very active as a Deacon in the First Presbyterian Church of Westfield, New York and the Westfield Chapter of the American Field Service, being a host mother to three AFS students, Patricia Cohen, Alfredo Keim, and Brasil Nogueira. Dee’s strong Christian faith guided her life in making a home for her family, and in loving and caring for them and her dear friends especially those from Westfield, NY. She was an avid reader and enjoyed creating beautiful gardens, traveling across the country and around the world with her husband, being active in her church, and caring for all the lives she touched.

She is survived by her three children, Terry Jensen Hall (Jeffrey), Barbara Jensen Breads (Michael), and Russell C. Jensen (Ana); seven grandchildren, Matthew Hall, Jennifer Breads, Melissa Jensen, Gregory Breads, Scott Hall, Michelle Jensen and Michael Jensen, who knew her as Nana, three great grandchildren, Emma Hall, Kennedy Hall, and Addison Hall, cousins, K. Gail Merritt Congdon, Karen Keske, and Larry Jensen, and nephews Larry Turner, Doug Turner and Robert Turner.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Jensen, and a niece, Nancy Turner Essex.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date by the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. in Elkridge, Maryland with internment at the Meadow Farms Memorial Cemetery.
