Gloria May Steele

Gloria May Steele (nee Stiner) was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 20, 1938 to William and Edith (nee Daily) Stiner. She passed on September 16, 2023, at the age of 85.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Steele, brother William ‘Bill’ Stiner, and grandson Brian Steele. She is survived by her sister Nancy Messick. She is also survived by her devoted sons and their wives, Kevin Matthew Steele (Robin Steele), Christopher Edmond Steele (Alison Steele), and Timothy Lee Steele (Carol Steele) including her adoring grandchildren, Lily Steele, Michael Atherholt, Matthew Steele, Emily Nicholls, Jessica Shue, and Kathryn Steele as well as great-grandchildren Alexis Steele, Alyssa Steele, Ethan Nicholls, Owen Nicholls, Aylin Nicholls, Maya Shue, Benjamin Shue, and Amelia Shue.

She was a 1956 graduate of Western High School. Upon her marriage to Jerry, she became a homemaker and a stay-at-home mom for her three sons. She enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to gospel music. She was a member of Elkridge Baptist Church along with her husband Jerry.

Prior to the decline in her health, she enjoyed an 85th Birthday Celebration surrounded by her loving family and friends.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at Elkridge Baptist Church, 5929 Setter Drive, Elkridge MD 21075 on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11:00am followed by an inurnment of Jerry and Gloria Steele at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge. A reception will immediately follow back at Elkridge Baptist Church.
