She was born in Hardin County on August 11, 1923 to Andrew "Jack" Holbert and Pearl Goodman Holbert.
She was a member of College Heights United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown and a Kentucky Colonel.
She was a Charter member of Pirtle Chapter #449 Order of the Eastern Star, a member of Minnie Selby Court #3 Order of the Amaranth, Hardin Memorial Auxiliary, and Cecilia Homemakers Club. She was active for many years in community events in Cecilia, Franklin Crossroads, and Howevalley.
Others who preceded her in death were her husband of 67 years, James Berthyal "J.B." Dunn (died 2008); a son, James Allen "Jimmy" Dunn; a brother, A.J. Holbert, Jr., and three sisters, Mary Louise Holbert (infant), Ruby Woosley, and Sylvia Goodman Adams.
She is survived by a son, Michael Owen Dunn; a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Randal Flowers; a sister, Jo Nall; daughter-in-law, Frances Dunn; grandchildren, Linda (Jerry) Curtsinger, Lisa (Tom) Vittitow, Steve (Karla) Dunn, Rhonda (David) Alfredson, Dr. Darren (Jennifer) Flowers, Trevor (Lindy) Flowers, and Josh (fiance), Anna) Dunn; great grandchildren, Andrew (Lindsay) Eubank, Matthew (Megan) Eubank, Jordan (fiance), Shelby) Alfredson, Derrick (Amy) Peters, Aaron (Amy) Peters, Brooke Blain, Amber Curtsinger, Brody Flowers, Shay Flowers, Cash Flowers, Raylen Flowers, Sadie Dunn, and Jake Dunn; several great-great grandchildren; and she was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers for her funeral will be her grandsons and great grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the College Heights United Methodist Church Dartball team.
Rev. Gary Maguffee and Rev. Earl West will be in charge of services on Saturday, June 2nd at Brown Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will begin Friday, June 1st from 12 noon to 8 p.m. with Eastern Star Service at 7 p.m and continue after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
