He was a native of Hardin County, a farmer, a gospel singer and retired from Bussman's. He was a lifelong member of Grandview Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and taught Sunday School for 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack A. and Clara Morgan.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lola Butler Morgan; one daughter, Kimberly (Kevin) Morgan of Cecilia; two sisters-in-law, Mary Oliver of Vine Grove and Helen Butler of Elizabethtown; one brother-in-law, Joseph Butler of Tell City, IN; a special nephew, Curtis Oliver and many other nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Breeze officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family requests that all visitors wear a mask.
