Anthony Scott Roberts

Anthony Scott Roberts, 33, passed away on October 1, 2024, at Norton Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on December 18, 1990 in Elizabethtown to the late Kenny Roberts and Michelle (Kolley) Gowen.

He worked at KU for 6 years as an Order Specialist. Anthony was an avid hunter, and loved the outdoors.

He is preceded in passing by his father Kenny Roberts; and grandparents, Mamaw Jones and Mamaw Roberts.

He is survived by his mother, Michelle Gowen (Tim) of Radcliff; brother and very best friend, Kenny Roberts (Alex) of Cecilia; grandparents, Roger Kolley (Francis) of Summit; 4 nephews and a niece whom he loved as his own, Hunter Roberts, Fisher Roberts, Scout Roberts, River Roberts, and Cainen Childress; step-mom, Donetta Roberts; 2 step-brothers; 1 step-sister; his girlfriend, Jessica Coolidge and her two children, Daylan and Brooklyn Thompson, that he cared for deeply; several uncles, aunts, and cousins. Anthony had a big heart and loved his family.

Anthony brought joy to everyone he encountered and his passing will be mourned deeply by his family. Anthony’s memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who were honored to have had the privilege of knowing him. If there is one word to describe Anthony it would be FIGHTER. He fought a very long hard battle to cancer and he never gave up. He truly gave his all until his all is all he could offer.

A service to celebrate Anthony’s life will take place on Monday, October 7, at 10 AM, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Guests are welcome to attend visitation on Sunday from 12 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest following the service in Elizabethtown City Cemetery.
