Yolanda A. Contreras

Yolanda Alarcon Contreras, 85, passed away on October 22, 2022, in El Paso, Texas. She was born and raised in San Elizario, Texas. She was a graduate of Ysleta High School and Texas Western University and was a lifelong UTEP sports fan. She taught for over 30 years, mainly as a 3rd grade teacher, and was a very caring person. She loved living in El Paso, Texas.

She is survived by her sisters, Ida and Barbara, daughter Anna, sons, Jaime, Carlos, and Alex, grandchildren, Sarah, Gabriel, Erik, Andrew, Courtney, and Isaac, great grandchildren, Zoey, Blakely, and Dylann, and numerous relatives.

Public Viewing will be held at 5:30 PM followed by a Rosary at 6:30 PM on Monday, October 31, 2022, at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, 12:00 PM, at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 3729 Hueco Ave, El Paso, TX 79903. Burial will follow on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, 1:30 PM, at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
