She met and married Narvle Glenn Slape April 22, 1946, and shortly after moved to and settled in El Paso, Texas. She was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 22, 2025.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Narvle Glenn Slape, sister Helen Ross, brother Monroe Goruk, granddaughter Linda Rutherford and grandson Glenn Andrasko.
She is survived by her daughters Charlotte Jetton, Cathy Andrasko, and Theresa Cummins (Doug) and sons Roger Slape (Mary Lou) and Kevin Slape (Candy), grandchildren Heather Jetton-Ojala (Jeff), Colleen Jetton, Brian Andrasko, Genna Slape, Keysa Cummins, Kandee Cummins, Kirstin Cummins, Kaleb Slape, Ethan Slape (Amanda), and Caitlin Slape and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Westside Baptist Temple in El Paso, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Monday April 7, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral service to begin at 1 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer Street, El Paso, Texas. The Committal Service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
