Salvador Jacobo Sr., 94, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.Salvador was born in El Paso, TX. He attended Aoy Elementary School and was a proud Bowie Bear, class of 1949. He was a former member of the Golden Gloves and was a Korean War Veteran. His hobbies were working around his home, enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas, drawing, painting and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He retired from Fort Bliss in 1997 as an Illustrator.
Salvador is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bertha E. Jacobo, his sons, Salvador Jacobo, Jr., Fernando Jacobo, his daughter Debra Ronquillo (George) and his granddaughter, Cynthia Jacobo.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915, with rosary at 6:00 pm. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at San Antonio Catholic Church, 503 Hunter Drive, El Paso, TX 79915. Burial will follow funeral mass from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Avenue, El Paso, TX 79906.
