Roberto Perez, 89, passed away March 11, 2022. He was born January 29, 1933 and was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas. He graduated in 1951 from Bowie High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an Airman First Class with the 580th Reproduction Squadron as a Senior Lithographic Pressman. He was employed by the Greater El Paso Association of Realtors for 40 years and was owner/operator of Dependable Offset Duplicator Service. Roberto was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Socorro Perez.
Roberto was an active member of Santa Lucia Catholic Church where he taught Catechism and Confirmation classes. He was Treasurer of the Santa Lucia Community Development Organization, and was a member of the Friends of the Judge Marquez Library.
Roberto is survived by his children Roberto Luis Perez, Roger Perez, Roland Perez, Sonia Marquez, Ralph Perez, grandchildren Christopher Perez, Melissa Perez, Michael Marquez, Matthew Marquez, Daniel Marquez, Amber Perez, Justin Lundy, Kaitlin Perez, Ethan Perez and great-grandchildren Luke Perez, Ellie Perez, Arianna Marquez, Alyssa Marquez and Sophia Marquez. Pallbearers are Roberto Luis Perez, Roger Perez, Roland Perez, Ralph Perez, Christopher Perez and Michael Marquez.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with Rosary at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 9:30 am at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (formerly Santa Lucia Catholic Church). Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery at 11 am.
