I miss my friend Rita Mae so much!! I think of her so much!! We spoke practically everyday when I lived in El Paso and when I moved to Round Rock 😢 . Rita Mae was my true friend. Every time we spoke I would tell her “thank you for being my friend “ and that I loved her❤️

Rita, it feels like a lifetime has passed. The only consolation is that you are dancing with Jesus today.

Dear family:

though time, distance, life's changes, and years separated Rita and I... she was and forever will be my friend. I have fond memories of happy times with Rita and many of you at a time when I really needed friends & family. 

Gabe, Ryan and Amanda... cherish the happy moments you shared with your mom, what you learned from her, how she helped make special occasions more special, and her love for you. Allow yourselves to grieve, smile, laugh, and grieve more for as long as it takes. You will always miss your mom. Years from now you'll still have a couple of times a year when for a millisecond you'll think  that you gotta call mom to tell her something or that you need to remember to tell her something.  Know that those moments are just Rita still being with you... letting you know that you mattered in her life, and that she helped prepare you to handle whatever life brings your way!

May being in each other's company bring you joy in this time of sorrow, and time heal your hearts.  May you always feel Rita's love, forget anything negative, and be able to remember her with a smile.

My deepest most sincere condolences to you Eric, Ryan, Mandy, Gabriel and to all of Rita’s family. I met Rita when our two boys started kindergarten together. Ryan and Nick became the best of friends which in turn Rita and I became the best of friends and that friendship quickly turned into family. She was truly a reflection of Christ, and she had a heart of gold. She was always ready to help somebody out in any kind of way and didn’t even think twice about it. What I will remember her the most for is her love for nature, “mostly rocks”, she loved collecting pretty rocks and stones. She also loved the beauty of the moon and stars. Many times we’d sit outside of my house and just watch the moon and stars. When the moon was big and gold she would call me or text me and tell me to look at the moon and I would do the same to her. My heart broke to pieces when I heard the news, but I know you are more alive right now than ever before. I bet you already made a ton of friends, and you have front row view to all the stars and all the cycles of the moon. They will definitely shine brighter with you up there.  I will miss our visits and talks, your smile and your little giggle, and you will be extremely missed at heart but you will never be forgotten. She gave me this last year and I will cherish it forever. Every time I look at the moon and stars I will forever think of you my friend, until we meet again in Heaven, love you girl...

I had the pleasure of meeting Rita when I started working for FedEx  back in  1983. That was my favorite stop.  There will never be a friendship as the one I had with Rita.  I will always remember meeting her at a McDonalds for lunch one day. I had my young daughter with me.  Once I introduced my daughter to Rita she turned to Rita and said “come on Rita, let’s go play”.  My daughter thought Rita was a little girl.  We had a good laugh and always remembered that beautiful memory.  Rita was definitely a blessing from God.  I Thank you for all the love you sent my way and for letting me share wonderful times with you and your beautiful family. My sincerest condolences to your family and friends. I worked with Rita for 20 + years out of the GP Office. You couldn't meet a kinder more sincere person.  When time permitted we would catch up on each other's family's from time to time, never a more proud Momma. I am so saddened by her passing, much too young, I will miss her dearly. My sincerest condolences to her family. My God embrace your family during this challenging time. 

Sending my deepest condolences to the family. I have fond memories of visiting her with my dad when we would visit El Paso. She was always so nice & welcoming. My parents spoke very highly of her & she was a kind hearted, caring soul. Even recently when seeing her after so many years nothing had changed she was the same person I remembered & welcomed me with open arms no questions asked. She will be missed.

We(Francesca and Santiago) miss and love our grandma so much but are glad to have the best memories with her , growing up with her and her helping me take care of my Midnight and much more. I’m grateful she was able to meet her great grandson and he made sopita for her and he remembers her as grandma with the animals <3 We love and miss you grandma forever in our hearts and memory

My Rita Pita, I can’t believe you are gone! My heart breaks knowing I won’t be able to visit you anymore or call you to see how things are… You were my Mom I always wanted! You formed me into the adult that I am now and the parent that  I am!  You taught me so many valuable lessons.  Thank you for teaching me how to cook, bake, sew, and most of all how to love unconditionally… 

You always welcomed me into your home and was willing to offer a helping hand each time I reached out and needed help, 

You never turned me away but instead made me feel loved like a daughter and loved my family! I love you more than you  ever will know! I’m so glad my children got a chance to know you and know who the person who’s responsible for making me the person that I am today.. I don’t think you realized how vital you were to me and the impact you had on my life!

You were taken to soon! I hope you are in Heaven with your Dad and feeling at peace! You were a true fighter … I’m so saddened that we lost you but I know we gained an Angel to watch over us from above…

We have enjoyed the times that as neighbors, we sat on the fence between our homes and visited with the family and the pets.  It has been enjoyable watching our kids grow up and sharing stories.    Our thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family.  Rita will be missed and remembered fondly.

I got to know Rita while teaching Ryan kindergarten.  She was always so spunky with a heart of gold. We lost touch until summer of 2020. I got to spend time with the Ochoa’s and the Rubio’s while celebrating Sheila’s birthday. We started a group text and chatted frequently. I’m glad I had those added moments with her. She will be missed, but I know she is with Jesus. 

Rita was truly a blessing to me.  She befriended me after I moved to Elpaso from the Atlanta GA area.  
She took me with her to meet her friends at a bible study.   
I will miss her.  I’m praying for her family during these difficult times.

What can I say, Rita was such a special person,  especially to my daughter. She was not only our neighbor at one time but became a very good friend and my daughter's second momma & godmother.  She would watch her for me if I  needed her too and when I  didn't need her too. There were times when Rita would just say, can I  just have Jed for the day so we can go shopping or do girl things  or something.  Thru the  years, we kept in touch and it was many years and many memories that we are left with to cherish.  May you,  her family, find comfort  in knowing that she is now an angel above watching over each and every one of yous.   May God bless yous.  We love yous 

I had the pleasure of meeting Rita a few years back through business deals. She was always pleasant and cheerful in our discussions.  No matter how busy she was, she took time to converse with me and the conversation wound up about family.  Rest in peace my friend. I'm sure you are loved and missed already.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Rita was one of my customers and she was such a blessing to have known!  My mother lives in El Paso and had just moved there, when I told Rita about her.
