Rita is survived by her daughter Debra Gomez (Enrique "Cookie" Gomez); and her son Mario R Diaz (Lisa Diaz); her sister Dolores Luna, her sister Maria Arteaga and her sister Rosie Orozco; her grandchildren Nikki, Adrian, Christina, Jessica and Ani; and her great grandchildren Mario, Ariyah and Adrian Jr.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband Mario Diaz; her daughter Elma Rita Diaz; her mother Maria R Esparza and her father Pablo Esparza; her sister Emilia Gray; her sister Rachel Williams; her sister Connie Stigers; her brother Alfonso Esparza; her brother Raul Esparza; her brother Pablo Esparza Jr; her sister Ofelia Gardy; her sister Hortencia Flores and her brother Rodolfo Esparza.
Visitation for Rita will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Vigil at 6:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903. Funeral mass at 9:30am will follow on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama St. El Paso, TX. 79930. Committal service to follow at 11:00 AM at Ft Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave. El Paso, TX. 79906.
